ABOUT
Alexander Svitych was born in Ukraine and received his MA in International Relations and European Studies from the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. His thesis topic was “Ukraine and NATO: The Failure of Rhetorical Action.” Alexander is currently a PhD Candidate at the Department of Political Science of the National University of Singapore. He is working on the dissertation with the working subject on the resurgence of nationalism (neo-nationalism) in Europe and US as a response against the rise of the capital-state. His broader research interests include International Relations theory, globalization and the state, nationalism, transnationalism, and cosmopolitanism.
