The Mykola Zerov Centre for Ukrainian Studies at Monash will be involved in the project as part of an international research network that will include the Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin für Sozialforschung (Berlin Social Science Research Centre) and the European Studies Centre at St. Antony’s College, Oxford.

The project is headed by the prominent political theorist Professor John Keane (University of Sydney), director of the Sydney Democracy Network. The project proposal was developed by Ms Olga Oleinikova, a teaching fellow at Sydney University, where she has recently completed work on her doctoral dissertation.

In October 2015 Victor and Maria Rudewych contributed a further $20,000 to ensure that the project is able to commence.
