On 25-26th October, Ukraine Democracy Initiative in partnership with European Studies Centre, St Antony’s College, University of Oxford and Sydney Democracy Network organised workshop “Reimagining Democracy & Diaspora: Europe and Cross-Border Politics”. The workshop took place at University of Oxford.
This exploratory workshop brought together 15 UDI Associates from US, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany and Ukraine to finalise the book project “Reimagining Democracy & Diaspora: Europe and Cross-Border Politics”. Taking place at European Studies Centre, St Antony’s College (University of Oxford), this two-day workshop included the participation of key specialists from the University of Oxford whose targeted feedback and insights enhanced the final version of this significant edited work. Jointly hosted by the Sydney Democracy Network, the Ukraine Democracy Initiative and the European Studies Centre (St Antony’s, Oxford), the ultimate goal of the workshop was to exchange ideas about the future of Ukraine, Europe, finalise the book chapters, and build strong international collaborations for future research.
Ukraine Democracy Initiative wants to say thank you very much to all workshop participants and guests for making it all the way to Oxford! It was a great, productive and thought-provoking two days at our workshop, which helped to tighten up the volume and raised some very important issues to address in our book.
